11 - 20 Feb 2005 - Week of leave for Valentines, so not much done. Today got the ribs mounted on the spars, matchdrilled, and removed. At first glance, they did not need fluting, but after a closer look, they do need some light fluting for a double bow in all of them...

Flap attach bracket. Hefty buggers.

Lotta ribs. Got to thinking about which ones go where and got a headache.

Here's the left wing per the plans.

Another view

And the left wing laying down. Of note, when building the left wing, if it calls for a -R ribs for the left wing, it's a -L rib on the right. Think it through carefully and it will make more sense once things are clecoed together. Thanks to the guys on the RV-10 Yahoo group for the sanity check...

21 Feb - 5 Mar 05 - Got the wing ribs drilled, prepped, primed, and riveted.

Ribs getting primed

Primed Ribs

Nasty paints

Piles O' ribs waiting for primer

Flap bracket attached

One side riveted, one side waiting in the wings (no pun intended)

Working on the right wing

Riveting the right wing rib

Not posing and actually driving rivets
